In September 2014, Sony introduced the Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact at IFA 2014. Xperia Z3 Compact is a mini version of the Xperia Z3 as well successor Xperia Z1 Compact. However, mini variant on the Xperia Z3 is not experiencing a reduction in features and performance. Sony just change the screen size and design, for consumers who expect a compact smartphone that has a high ability.

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974Pro Ac Chipset, Xperia Z3 using the Quad Core processor 400 2.5 GHz Krait and Adreno 330. It has 2 GB of RAM capacity and 16 GB of internal storage (up to 128 GB with microSD) . And this smartphone is running Android OS 4.4.4 KitKat.

Design

This Sony Smartphone has dimensions of 127.3 x 64.9 x 8.6 mm and weighs 129 grams with Unibody Design and Omni Balance Concept which is characteristic of the Xperia flagship. "The design of this smartphone" is equal to "Z3 standard version" there is a difference in the size of the body only. Body on the smartphone using the glass material on both sides, making this smartphone looks luxury, but this glass coating makes the Xperia Z3 Compact easy to slip. To prevent that, you can be overlaid with additional casing, such as rubber casing or other cover.

At the top there is a 3.5 mm audio jack. on the front there 4.6-inch screen size (720 x 1280 pixels) with Shatter proof glass protection. Right at the top of the screen there is LED notif, earpiece, light sensor, proximity sensor and front camera. And on the back there is a camera that is equipped with LED flash on the top. On the left side of the phone is the power button, volume and camera shutter. While on the right side of this smartphone are a microSD slot, microUSB port and a SIM card slot, Xperia Z3 Compact already use nanoSIM card. This port can be closed to prevent dust and water from entering into the phone. Next to it there is a button to turn off the phone by force because this smartphone has a battery that can not be removed.

This smartphone is priced at £ 429 (around US $ 703), the Xperia Z3 Compact is one of the more expensive mini variant of the flagship smartphonene that we've seen.
